Amazing and full of information

I was wating for years for this book to be released, and finally I got it. The information is complete and detailed about the songs/tracks that were listed on the dance charts. You can find the date that the song was first entered on the lists and the peak positions. You'd be amazed that many of the dance hits that peaked # 1 on the 100 pop chart did not make the # 1 on the dance/club play chart, and even more did not enter the chart at all. Great presentation and very well organized, it worths every penny $$$ I spent on it. I have only 2 complains about this book, first: the Dance Maxi Single Sale chart information is not listed here at all. It's a most, to have the sales information to be included in this book. How do I know that the song I danced for years was also a success on sales, for the next release of this book please have this information included. Second: it's a total pitty that the information from the electronic music charts were not included here either. The massive and most popular clubs that makes most pop/dance artist have a hit on the billboard dance charts, have been playing only danceable electronica music for years, to be more accurate, since the mid 80's. I hope this will be also included in the next release of the Hot Dance/Disco. Also I have the hope that the world hits (mostly Europeans hits) also listed on weekly billboard magazine gets to be relased on a book soon. Until then, enjoy this wonderful book.

This must have been the most difficult book to compile and Joel Whitburn did it perfectly well. Tons of information even as to acts from Europe. You really can be surprised to find Urban Cookie Collective, The Shamen or Blue Pearl in the book. Excellent

If you wanna pick up an easy read through with Bollywood feel - try this out

I liked the way the story began and that the suspense was built up till the very end. There was nowhere that the book lagged in pace or want of depth in the characters (for a short book). The romantic episodes between Puneet and Myra were realistic enough and maybe cute to an extent. For a 10 year old kid, Rishi does know too much - I would probably have cringed to discuss my love life, much alone take advises from a kid claiming to be my son - that too one that known else could see. I could sympathize for Puneet that Rishi could read his mind.

On the other hand, I felt the author had too much on the plate for 160 page novel. What started out as a time travel or paranormal story turned out to be a love story, hypnotism, drugs, ragging, holy men, adopted kids - too many themes and extremely sharp turns which made it look like author was unclear with the direction of the story and as though the ending was hurried. Cliched and completely unnecessary characters like a long haired stranger from the streets asking him to chase his dreams could have very well been avoided.

Writing an intimate scene is supposedly harder than others, but I should confess no other book made me cringe reading as this one, especially crude and unpolished phrases like "cried like hell" and "the slightly hairy organ between the legs". In fact the entire scene could have been done away with, and no on would have missed a thing. Better none than a half baked scene. It puts any reader off to find any typos or spelling error while reading the book, how much ever the story might be good and interesting.

You don't know anything till you reach the end!

“Everything you see is a perspective, not the truth and just because it’s ‘all in your head’ doesn't make it any less real.”

It’s an illusion all right, created just for you to feel better when things are out of control and you are trying to hold on. It makes life easy and manageable, even though subconsciously; you know that there’s something wrong with the situation but you don’t want to delve further; scared of what actually it is.

‘Hey Dad! Meet My Mom’ is a masterpiece in itself. I don’t want to talk about the story here because I want you to sense the intimacy Roshni, Puneet and Myra possess personally but I would like to tell you about who they are for sure;

Myra

“You know when we feel afraid of something that is not physical like for instance love, care, taking responsibilities in our case; we give these fears a physical face.”

This is Myra, a Bubble Guppy in #HDM3 who paints the world red for Puneet, you see he thinks “Red is a very strange colour, it gets noticed by men only after they fall in love.” So I think you all got my point? She was not only there physically but a strong emotional pillar for Puneet when he was in another world; a world full of pain and deception. She was not an easy person to get rid of mind you but she is what gave redemption to Puneet in her own manner.

Puneet

A mumma’s boy trying to make sense of his life at 30, a life which is confusing him to no end and forcing him to succumb to his sub-conscious mind which shows how a possibility of something can encourage us for a memory and it becomes your living dream inside you.
A little man knocking him over now and then with his creepy talks and maturity level of a saint! Yes everyone this is Rishi am talking about who is on a mission. You need to find that by reading this book please.

Roshni

What do I tell you about her? Selfless, Strong, Sublime, Self-ruling and Stalwart is what Roshni is. She loved everyone fiercely and abandonment was never in her veins, even when she was on the verge of getting bankrupt. Her love for children was shining throughout the journey of #HDM3, and what happened to her was ruthless. Still, she was the stronger one amongst her and Puneet when all hell broke and they got separated. Her determination was so strong that medicine, theories and history had to bow down to her and brought Puneet where he belonged.

That is what LOVE is…

It is said that your subconscious is 30000 times more powerful than your conscious mind and this book makes you believe it. The way Roshni and Puneet were connected; with no logic and proof, they attained the impossible (atleast in medicine world). Roshni’s sheer determination and her love for Puneet, brought him back to life; a life which was suppressed by his own uncle in the name of helping him with the situation.
The short term pain of accepting the truth is much better than the long term pain of believing an illusion which Puneet lived for a decade.

Author’s Work:

Hmm Sandeep Sharma & Leepi Agrawal, I never expected this type of storyline from Indie Authors that’s for sure so you can imagine the surprise I felt in 2nd part of #HDM3 where Roshni’s story is revealed. The plot reminded me a work of Aleatha Romig, who is a pro at suspense! (Do read her work in #Consequences please and you’ll get my point). Characterization is powerful and justice was served to all of them by this duo.

What Made It Difficult:

Given as a ‘Review Copy’ by Sandeep Sharma I would say it didn’t had that appeal in the beginning chapters, to be true I kept on reading because I needed to review it, but Oh Boy! This duo took a U-Turn and brought goodies for a suspense & twist sucker like me halfway through the book! It is full of bollywood type comedy as some dialogues are typical bollywood and made me roll my eyes for sure.

Impact on my life:

“Secrets are like rust on a relationship. They only make it lose its strength.”

I am a firm believer in TRUTH, I want the truth no matter what situation it is or how critical the truth will prove to be. A lie, an omission will always come back and poke you through that veil you have strategically created to hide the truth and that will hurt like a bitch no matter how long it’s been.

“Accept changes quickly. Time will flow away and you have to flow with the stream to keep up with time.”

As you know truth hurts, but it’s always better than a lie, it will do you good if you accept the changes occurring in your life. I am not telling you to accept what’s wrong but change is inevitable in life, you do not want a permanent guilt residing in your being for the lifetime just because you took a change as an end of your life.

Till date after around a month when I read this line
“He erased everything about Roshni from my mind but forgot to erase Rishi, my ‘dead’ son.”
It gives me Goosebumps all over.

An introduction explains that governments believed Native people were ignorant and made laws to educate their children. Shi-shi-etko counts down her last four days before going away. She tries to memorize everything about her home–tall grass swaying to the rhythm of the breeze, determined mosquitoes, working bumblebees. There is a family party to say good-bye. Her father takes her out in a canoe and implores her to remember the trees, the water, and the mountains, and her grandmother gives her a small bag made of deer hide in which to keep her memories. The vivid, digital illustrations rely on a red palette, evoking not only the land but also the sorrow of the situation and the hope upon which the story ultimately ends. This contemplative narrative will help children see how Native people have been treated in both Canada and the United States. Gr. 2-4. Using gentle rounded shapes and rich autumnal colors, LaFave captures the events that take place during the three days before a young Canadian girl must leave her home. Author Campbell's foreword explains the harsh government policies that, until 1984, separated Native American children as young as four from their parents, though her story conveys only that Shi-shi-etko, whose name means "she loves to play in the water," is going away to school. Before she leaves, the girl visits the creek with her mother, goes canoeing with her father, and collects sprigs from trees with her grandmother. The loving adults urge her to treasure these memories, and the girl looks and listens carefully. Without dwelling on the impending separation, the lyrical text is, nevertheless, poignant, as is the last picture of children in the back of a pickup truck driving away. Although Shi-shi-etko appears to be about five or six, the audience for her story will be slightly older children, who can grasp the implications of her fate and understand that the story takes place in the past. Talk about a picture book to tear at my heart strings and boil my blood. This story is so heart wrenching and maddening at the same time as being so beautiful in tradition until the horrible new white man made tradition of sending Native American children off to residential schools to unlearn their native ways.

My heart broke at each new day for Shi-shi-etko and her family.

Beautiful story, and appropriate for even younger children

I got this book to introduce my little one to the injustices visited upon the First Nations people, but also to share some of the beauty of that culture. It is beautifully written, and completely appropriate for kids as young as six, I would say.

A breathlessly appealing, sexually charged romance!

Yes! Yes! YES! Jasinda Wilder returns to the sensational world of her Big Girls series, and the results are ravishing and downright addictive! I loved everything about this book! It's sexy as all get-out! So much passion, so much heated heat! Is that even grammatically correct? Probably not, but who cares!? This book rocked my world! Sorry, there's no vanilla here...move along(; There were moments when I literally began to sweat! Yes, sweat! Not to sound cliche, but I seriously could not put the book down. I started reading it this morning after the kids left for school, and I finished it tonight. There was no stopping, no pause. I had to know, I had to have my next fix. I felt like a juvenile junkie! It wasn't until I began to feel faint that I realized I hadn't moved in hours, forgetting to eat or drink. Now, that's when you know you've scored a delicious masterpiece when it demands your every waking hour. Ahhhh! It's so perfect! Ian's perfect. Nina's perfect. I loved the travel, loved the literature references, loved London! I mean hell, who doesn't love London and British speaking men? Kudos to you Mrs. Wilder for delivering yet another breathlessly appealing, sexually charged romance where women with curves are adoringly appreciated.

Nina Herrera is about to set off on the biggest adventure of her life, she’s been accepted to Oxford University, where she’ll be studying for a Master’s Degree in Literature, her passion. Taking a huge leap of faith and leaving her family and friends behind to travel across the world is exciting, thrilling, liberating and terrifying for Nina. Though the move isn’t the only thing terrifying Nina she has a very real and serious fear of flying. After boarding her plane and settling into seat, she’s surprised and delighted when the sexiest man, she's ever laid eyes on, settling into the seat right next to her.

“Don’t look away. Don’t let it get away. Don’t run.”

Ian Stirling is the man that Nina never saw coming. Sliding into his seat, smelling and looking positively divine, Nina is now feeling blessed, flustered, flushed and still terrified of flying. Bonding almost instantly over their mutual fear of flying, these two have that insta-spark, and it’s entertaining as hell to experience. The banter, the flirting, the smirking, and all that sexual tension makes for a very interesting lead into what is now guaranteed to be a very sexy, very enjoyable read. From them debating men wearing Band-Aids, pink Hello Kitty ones to be exact, to their feelings regarding real men carrying umbrellas and using hand lotion, I was snickering from the very start.

“He smiled at me, and if I hadn’t been sitting down, my panties might have fallen off.”

The tangible desire that simmers between Nina and Ian is decedent and so delicious, I had flushed cheeks, and found myself shifting restlessly in my seat more than once. Ian is a take charge, take the leap kind of guy, whereas Nina is a planner, a labeller, obsess about it till it makes her nuts type of girl. Total opposite personality types, but where they are totally in sync, is in their desire and attraction to each other. Nina is shocked and amazed that such a dreamy specimen could be not only interested in her, but pursuing her openly after only having met her hours before. Ian sees a beautiful, funny, intelligent woman that he has a very real desire to spend more time with and of course pleasure her in ways no man has before.

Jasinda Wilder gives us yet another erotic and sexy read, perfectly written with expertly placed humor, layered emotions, and enough drama to keep you hooked from the beginning. Her characters are fabulous, giving us a sexy alpha man to swoon, sigh and pant over, but most important, a strong female character that is not supermodel thin or surgically enhanced. Nina represents most women, real women with curves and insecurities, but also an attitude that says love for me, the way I am or shove off. I loved Nina, I’m not going to lie, I did want to smack her upside her pretty head more than once, but that being said she is real. I understood her struggles, her doubts, her fears.

Ian, oh Ian, Ian, Ian, I fell totally in love with him, from the first moment he smirked at Nina on that plane. Charming as the devil himself, with a naughty mouth and a sexy accent, a body that won't quit and some skills that all men should sit up and take notes on, he’s everything you could ever want in a book boyfriend. Ian's a keeper.

I loved this book from start to finish, I highly recommend picking up, Big Love Abroad, truthfully you can never go wrong with a Jasinda Wilder novel, she never fails to deliver the goods. *wink* *wink*

In Love with Big Love

When Ms. Wilder announced this gem, I was super excited. This book was utter perfection. Sexy. Funny. Realistic. Easy to relate, even easier to fall in love with.

Even if you have not read the previous books in the series, you will not get lost. You will still appreciate the story because the characters are actually separate from what has happened in the past. In a few words, it's the best example of a standalone that was a spin off from an excellent series.

The characters are well developed and I liked that the POV was a consistent flow of what the characters were experiencing. What I loved more? It's a realistic love story. How they meet, how they proceed, and how they get their happy ending is something that could happen in real life. Thank you for such a great love story!
